I'm a mixed media artist currently based in northern Alabama
I make colorful art with grit
My artistic journey is fueled by a passion for vibrant colors and stark visual contrast. My work draws heavy inspiration from surrealism and impressionism, bringing a unique blend of styles to each idea I pursue. Much of this I also attribute to my background in graphic design, where I felt a call to push the boundaries of written and visual communication.
I primarily work with acrylics, inks, and pastels, mixing these mediums to extend the life of my supplies and to add depth and texture to my art. My work delves into the complex relationships between nature, grit, and the highs and lows of humanity, offering a reflective and thought-provoking experience for my audience.
As an artist, I strive to push boundaries and explore new techniques, always seeking to innovate and evolve my techniques. My art is a testament to my dedication to capturing the duality of the world, with all its interconnected beauties and brutalities.
Outside of my creative pursuits, I pivoted from a career in corporate marketing and freelance design to pursue working with animals. I am currently pursuing a certification in veterinary technology to further enrich this new stage of my life. I'm a Huntsville local where I live with my partner, an executive chef, our dog, Raven, and our cats: Avocato Beans, Leon, and Unagi. In my free time, you can find me gardening, playing video games, or reading when I'm not chugging along in my creative practice.
