I'm Camden Rusincovitch,
a mixed media artist based in northern Alabama.
I make colorful art with grit
My artistic journey is fueled by a passion for vibrant color and stark visual contrast. My work draws heavily on surrealism and impressionism, bringing a unique stylistic blend to every idea I pursue. Much of this I also attribute to my background in graphic design, where I felt a call to push the boundaries of written and visual communication.
I primarily use acrylics, inks, and pastels, mixing these mediums to extend the life of my supplies while adding depth and texture to my art. With these tools, I aim to provide a reflective experience for my audience. My subject matter delves into the complex relationships between nature, grit, and the highs and lows of humanity.
As an artist, I strive to break past limits and explore new techniques, always seeking to innovate and evolve my ideas. My art is a testament to my dedication to capturing the duality of the world, with all its interconnected beauties and brutalities.
Outside of my creative pursuits, I pivoted from a career in corporate marketing and freelance design to pursue general labor. I'm a Huntsville local, where I live with my partner, our cats, and our dog. In my free time, you can find me gardening, playing video games, or reading when I'm not chugging along in my creative practice.
